Article R713-1 of the French Consumer Code

The competent protection litigation judge, by virtue of the provisions of article L. 213-4-7 of the Code of Judicial Organisation, is that of the place where the debtor resides, including for the application of articles R. 721-5 and R. 722-9.

However, in the case provided for in Article L. 711-2, the competent court is the one in whose jurisdiction the referral commission has its seat.

Article R713-1

Le juge des contentieux de la protection compétent, en vertu des dispositions de l’article L. 213-4-7 du code de l’organisation judiciaire, est celui du lieu où demeure le débiteur, y compris pour l’application des articles R. 721-5 et R. 722-9.

Toutefois, dans le cas prévu à l’article L. 711-2, le juge compétent est celui dans le ressort duquel siège la commission saisie.
