Article R8124-15 of the French Labour Code

Each member of staff shall immediately prevent or put an end to any situation of interference between the performance of his professional duties and public or private interests, including the exercise of a political mandate, which is likely to influence or appear to influence the independent, impartial and objective performance of his duties, in accordance with the procedures set out in article 25 bis of the aforementioned law of 13 July 1983.

Chaque agent veille à prévenir ou à faire cesser immédiatement toute situation d’interférence entre l’exercice de son activité professionnelle et des intérêts publics ou privés, y compris l’exercice d’un mandat politique, de nature à influencer ou paraître influencer l’exercice indépendant, impartial et objectif de ses fonctions selon les modalités prévues à l’article 25 bis de la loi du 13 juillet 1983 précitée.
