Chapter I: Jurisdictional powers of the delegated judge for victims

The chairman of the Commission d’indemnisation des victimes d’infractions is the judge delegated to victims. If the commission comprises several panels, each of them is chaired by a judge delegated to victims.

The judge delegated to victims may be appointed by the president of the judicial court, in accordance with the provisions of article R. 311-23 of the Code of Judicial Organisation, to preside over hearings of the Criminal Court ruling after referral on civil interests only, provided for by the fourth paragraph of Article 464 of this Code.
