The agreement provided for in article L. 122-14 is sent for approval to the Prefect of the département in which the sports association has its registered office.

The application for approval must be accompanied by the following documents: 1° The articles of association of the association and of the company ; 2° A receipt for the registration of the association’s trademark or name with the Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle; 3° The list of salaried staff and their distribution in each of the two entities; 4° The agreement between the owner of the sports facilities and…

The Prefect receives an application for approval and issues a receipt. He consults the sports federation concerned and any professional league it has set up. The sports federation and the professional league issue their opinion within the time limit set by the Prefect.

At the end of the period referred to in article R. 122-11, the Prefect will issue an order. Reasons are given for refusal of approval.
