Article R122-1 of the French Sports Code

The amounts of revenue or remuneration above which a sports association is required, by virtue of article L. 122-1, to form a commercial company are set at €1,200,000 and €800,000 respectively. To determine whether these amounts have been reached, the average revenue received and remuneration paid over the last three known financial years, as shown in the sports association’s accounting documents, are taken into account.

Article R122-2 of the French Sports Code

The income referred to in article R. 122-1 includes the total income (excluding tax) from all ticketed events organised by the association, and in particular : 1° The amount of admission fees paid, in any form whatsoever, for access to these events; 2° Advertising income of any kind; 3° Proceeds from audiovisual exploitation rights paid to the association, including reproduction rights.
