Section 1: Compulsory vaccinations.

Compulsory vaccinations are governed by this Section, by Section 1 of Chapter II and by Section 2 of Chapter IV of this Title.

The vaccinations referred to in I of article L. 3111-2 are given during the child’s first eighteen months, in accordance with the ages set out in the calendar provided for in article L. 3111-1.

When the vaccinations mentioned in I of article L. 3111-2 have not been given under the age conditions defined in article R. 3111-2, they are given in accordance with specific procedures determined by the calendar provided for in article L. 3111-1.

Compulsory vaccinations are carried out by health professionals authorised for this purpose by the regulations applicable to them. In particular, they may be carried out in the authorised establishments and organisations referred to in article L. 3111-11, as well as in the context of consultations provided by the departmental maternal and child protection services and those authorised by the departmental council.

The hepatitis B vaccination of thanatopractors undergoing practical training and practising is carried out under the conditions set out in articles L. 3111-1 and L. 4151-2. The obligation to vaccinate against hepatitis B does not apply to people who are infected or have been infected by the hepatitis B virus, or to the people mentioned in article R. 3111-4-1 who have a contraindication to this vaccination.
