Where rescue and evacuation arrangements are covered by the general coordination plan, the specific safety plan may refer to the general coordination plan.

The specific safety plan may be consulted for advice by the works doctor and members of the social and economic committees before any work is carried out on the site.

Before any work is carried out on the site, the contractor in charge of the main work or the main lot, as well as any contractor called upon to carry out work presenting particular risks included in the list of work provided for in article L. 4532-8, must send a copy of the specific safety plan to the Labour Inspectorate, to the prevention department of the social security bodies and…

An up-to-date copy of the specific safety plan is kept permanently available on site. The opinions of the occupational physician and the social and economic committee provided for in article R. 4532-69 are attached, including for contractors not mentioned in article R. 4532-70.

Where it has not been possible to apply a preventive measure provided for in the plan, the contractor shall indicate on the plan the means of at least equivalent effectiveness that have been implemented. The coordinator and the persons and bodies referred to in Article R. 4532-70 shall be informed of this substitution.

The specific safety plan kept on site may be consulted by : 1° The members of the inter-company college for safety, health and working conditions; 2° The members of the social and economic committee; 3° The occupational physician; 4° The labour inspectorate; 5° The prevention department of the social security bodies; 6° The professional prevention body for building and public works.

The special safety plan kept on site is kept by the contractor for a period of five years from the date of acceptance of the work.
