Chapter VII: Legal expenses insurance.

Persons who have access to information provided by the insured for the purposes of his or her case under a legal expenses insurance contract are bound by professional secrecy, under the conditions and subject to the penalties set out in article 226-13 of the French Criminal Code.

The legal expenses insurance contract stipulates that any sum obtained in reimbursement of the costs and fees incurred in settling the dispute shall be paid first to the insured person for the expenses remaining at his expense and, secondarily, to the insurer, up to the limit of the sums it has incurred.
