Chapter V: Electronic money issuers

Electronic money issuers shall ensure that the persons referred to in Article L. 525-8 provide customers and the public, by any appropriate means and in a visible and legible manner, with information relating to the corporate name, address and trading name of the electronic money issuer.

Notwithstanding any clause to the contrary, electronic money issuers remain liable to electronic money holders for electronic money distributed by the persons referred to in Article L. 525-8.

For the purposes of Articles L. 511-33, L. 526-35, L. 571-4 and L. 572-17, the persons mentioned in Article L. 525-8 are treated in the same way as persons employed by electronic money issuers.

The conditions for the application of this section are laid down by order of the Minister for the Economy.
