Article L451-1 of the French Consumer Code

A failure by the operator to provide the information provided for in article L. 411-2 is punishable by one year’s imprisonment and a fine of 150,000 euros.
Violation of the prohibitions set out in article L. 413-1 is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 300,000 euros.
Violation of the prohibitions set out in article L. 413-1 is punishable by seven years’ imprisonment and a fine of 750,000 euros: 1° If the falsified or corrupted substance is harmful to human or animal health; 2° If the acts were committed as part of an organised gang.
Violation of the prohibitions set out in article L. 413-2 is punishable by one year’s imprisonment and a fine of 150,000 euros.
The violation of the prohibitions set out in article L. 413-2 is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 300,000 euros if the adulterated or corrupted food substance is harmful to human or animal health.
The amount of the fines provided for in articles L. 451-1 to L. 451-4 may be increased, in proportion to the benefits derived from the offence, to 10% of average annual turnover, calculated on the basis of the last three annual turnover figures known on the date of the offence.
Natural persons guilty of the offences punishable under articles L 451-1 to L. 451-4 also incur as additional penalties the prohibition, in accordance with the procedures laid down by the Article 131-27 of the Penal Code, from holding a public office or carrying out the professional or social activity in the exercise or on the occasion of the exercise of which the offence was committed, or from exercising a commercial…
In the event of conviction for the offences punishable under 1° of article L. 451-2, the court may also order:
Failure to disseminate the messages provided for in article L. 451-7 is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 300,000 euros.
Violation of the prohibitions set out in article L. 413-4 is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 300,000 euros.
