Article D224-11 of the French Sports Code

The prefectoral decree granting approval is published in the prefecture’s Recueil des actes administratifs. Approval is valid for five years. The decision by which the Prefect or, where applicable, the Police Prefect refuses to grant approval is substantiated and notified to the association.

The Prefect or, where applicable, the Police Prefect shall be notified without delay of any changes to the Articles of Association, the by-laws and the list of members responsible for the administration of the association made after approval was granted.

Approval is withdrawn when the supporters’ association ceases to meet the conditions required to obtain it.
