Paragraph 2: Provisions relating to the Government Commissioner

The Government Commissioner for the National Sports Agency is appointed by joint order of the Minister for the Budget and the Minister for Sport.

The Government Commissioner has the general task of verifying the compliance of the actions undertaken by the National Sports Agency with the missions set out in article L. 112-10 and the strategy defined by the State in the objectives agreement mentioned in this article and in article L. 112-6.

In order to carry out his duties, the Government Commissioner shall have access to any document or information required for the performance of his duties upon simple request and shall have the right to visit the premises of the Agence Nationale du Sport. Each year, the Government Commissioner is informed of the conditions under which the performance objectives and related monitoring indicators have been implemented for the year, as defined in the agreement referred to inarticle L. 112-16 of the French Sports Code.

Each year, the Government Commissioner informs the members of the National Sports Agency of the observations made regarding its operation and, in particular, of the exercise of his right to object. Each year, the Government Commissioner sends the Agency’s activity report, together with his observations, to the Minister for the Budget and the Minister for Sport.
