Paragraph 1: Provisions relating to the regional sports conference

The Regional Sports Conference draws up and adopts the territorial sports project mentioned in article L. 112-14. It adopts its own rules of procedure. It may set up thematic committees, notably on the objectives mentioned in article L. 112-14, in which the four colleges mentioned in article R. 112-40 are represented.

The regional sports project is drawn up by the regional sports conference for a period it decides, which may not exceed five years. At its first plenary meeting, the regional conference elects, by a simple majority of the members present, a chairman and two vice-chairmen who may not be from the same college. The regional sports conference meets at least twice a year at the request of its chairman or 30% of the representatives from at least three colleges. However, the first meeting is convened by the Regional Prefect. Its secretariat is provided by the regional government department responsible for public sports policy. It may be shared with the departments of the institution from which the conference chairman comes.
