Chapter III: ALLOWANCE FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS

Asylum seekers who have accepted the material reception conditions proposed in application of article L. 551-9 are entitled to an asylum seeker’s allowance if they meet age and means conditions. Payment of this allowance is ordered by the Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration.

A decree defines the scale of the asylum seeker’s allowance, taking into account the resources of the person concerned, the method of accommodation and, where applicable, the services offered by the place of accommodation.
