Paragraph 2: Provisions specific to the adult critical care modality

In addition to the equipment mentioned in II of article D. 6124-27-1, the vascular neurology intensive care unit includes at least the equipment required to carry out X-ray and transcranial Doppler examinations in the rooms of the unit, when the conditions of patient care so justify.

The medical team in the vascular neurology intensive care unit is made up of doctors with neurovascular expertise.

The coordinating doctor of the vascular neurology intensive care unit is a neurologist who is a member of the medical team mentioned in article D. 6124-30-1.

The non-medical team in a vascular neurology intensive care unit comprises at least: 1° One nurse for every four open beds ; 2° During the day, one nursing assistant for every four open beds and, at night, one nursing assistant for every eight open beds; 3° A masseur-physiotherapist; 4° A speech therapist; 5° Where necessary, a psychologist, a social worker, a dietician and staff with biomedical skills.
