Selective financial aid is awarded after completion to production companies and directors to reward the quality of the production of short films and audiovisual works.
The beneficiaries of post-production aid are both the production companies and the directors.However, the beneficiaries of the aid are the directors alone when the short cinematographic or audiovisual works have been produced by associations or individuals, provided that these works have been selected or broadcast under at least one of the following conditions:1° Selected as part of a festival mentioned in the list annexed to this book;2° Selected for the…
To be eligible for post-production support, the works must have been the subject of an application for an exhibition licence or have obtained one during the year of the application for support or during the calendar year preceding the application.
Works that have already received:1° either pre-production production support;2° or production programme support;3° or, for works in the creative documentary genre, support for the production of audiovisual works, are not eligible for post-production support.Works produced as part of initial or continuing training are not eligible.
The decision to award a grant is taken on the advice of the Grants Committee after the project has been completed.
The aid is awarded in the form of a grant.When aid is awarded jointly to a production company and a director, a fraction equal to at least 30% of the amount is paid to the director, without prejudice to the share that may be awarded to him by the production company under the terms of the agreements between them.
