Article 121-3 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The receipt and payment of financial aid are subject to compliance with the conditions under which it is awarded and compliance with the conditions for carrying out the project or the expenditure covered by the aid.
Failure to comply with these conditions, including failure to send the required documents or failure to meet the deadlines set, as well as lapse and withdrawal, will result in the beneficiary being obliged to repay to the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée the sums received in respect of the aid in question.
This obligation to repay may only be waived in exceptional circumstances by decision of the Chairman of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée and at the request of the beneficiary specifying the particular circumstances justifying the absence of repayment.

Article 121-3
