Article 170 of the French Customs Code

1. Except where the provisions of paragraph 2 of this Article apply, goods imported under the temporary admission procedure benefit from the suspension of customs duties and taxes to which they are liable on importation.

2. In the case of equipment intended for the execution of works, orders or decisions granting temporary admission may suspend only a fraction of the amount of duties and taxes.

1. Sauf application des dispositions du 2 du présent article, les marchandises importées sous le régime de l’admission temporaire bénéficient de la suspension des droits de douane et des taxes dont elles sont passibles à l’importation.

2. Pour les matériels destinés à l’exécution de travaux, les arrêtés ou les décisions accordant l’admission temporaire peuvent ne suspendre qu’une fraction du montant des droits et taxes.
