Article 230-16 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The following shall be recipients of the personal data referred to in this section:

<1° Specially authorised and individually designated staff of the national police and gendarmerie;

2° Public prosecutors and investigating magistrates, for investigations relating to offences referred to them;

3° Specially authorised and individually designated customs officers, in connection with the investigations referred to in Article 28-1.

The authorisation shall specify the nature of the data to which it authorises access.

Sont destinataires des données à caractère personnel mentionnées à la présente section :


1° Les personnels spécialement habilités et individuellement désignés de la police et de la gendarmerie nationales ;


2° Les magistrats du parquet et les magistrats instructeurs, pour les recherches relatives aux infractions dont ils sont saisis ;


3° Les agents des douanes spécialement habilités et individuellement désignés, à l’occasion des enquêtes visées à l’article 28-1.


L’habilitation précise la nature des données auxquelles elle autorise l’accès.
