Article 235 of the French Customs Code

1. Any ship that has been registered in one part of the Customs territory and transfers its port of registry to another part of the same territory is required to pay any difference that may exist between the customs duties, duties and taxes, other than those mentioned in the code of taxes on goods and services, previously paid and those payable in the place where the new port of registry is located.

2. The same rule applies to any ship which has been registered in a territory of the French Republic not included in the customs territory and which transfers its port of registration to the customs territory.

Article 235

1. Tout navire francisé dans une partie du territoire douanier qui transfère son port denregistrement dans une autre partie de ce même territoire est tenu d’acquitter la différence pouvant exister entre les droits de douane, les droits et taxes, autres que ceux mentionnés au code des impositions sur les biens et services, précédemment acquittés et ceux qui sont exigibles dans le lieu où est situé le nouveau port d’enregistrement.

2. La même règle est applicable à tout navire francisé dans un territoire de la République française non compris dans le territoire douanier qui transfère son port d’enregistrement dans le territoire douanier.
