Article 311-87 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The production company has one year from notification of the decision in principle to obtain prior authorisation. If it fails to do so, the production company will forfeit its right to obtain payment of the aid.
In exceptional circumstances and at the reasoned request of the production company, the aforementioned deadline may be extended for a period not exceeding six months, by decision of the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.

Article 311-87

L’entreprise de production dispose d’un délai d’un an à compter de la notification de la décision de principe pour obtenir l’autorisation préalable. A défaut, l’entreprise de production est déchue de la faculté d’obtenir le versement de l’aide.
A titre exceptionnel et sur demande motivée de l’entreprise de production, le délai précité peut être prolongé d’une durée qui ne peut excéder six mois, par décision du président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.
