The family council may, in consideration of the minor’s situation, the abilities of the persons concerned and the extent of the assets to be administered, appoint several tutors to jointly exercise the protective measure. Each tutor is deemed, with regard to third parties, to have received from the others the power to perform alone those acts for which a tutor would require no authorisation.
The family council may decide that the exercise of guardianship will be divided between a tutor responsible for the minor’s person and a tutor responsible for the management of his or her property, or that the management of certain specific assets will be entrusted to a deputy tutor.
Unless otherwise decided by the family council, the tutors appointed pursuant to the second paragraph are independent and are not responsible to each other. They shall, however, inform each other of the decisions they take.
