Article 411-18 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Direct allocations are granted in addition to the sums invested by the production companies when the short cinematographic works give rise to production expenses in France for at least 80% of their final cost or of the French share in the case of an international co-production, up to a maximum of 160% of the cumulative amount of the sums invested and the direct allocations.

Des allocations directes sont attribuées en complément des sommes investies par les entreprises de production lorsque les œuvres cinématographiques de courte durée donnent lieu à des dépenses de production en France pour au moins 80 % de leur coût définitif ou de la part française en cas de coproduction internationale, dans la limite exigible de 160 % du montant cumulé des sommes investies et des allocations directes.
