Article 411-8 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Short-length cinematographic and audiovisual works must be produced by at least one production company acting in the capacity of delegated production company.
For the allocation of production aid for the same work, this capacity may only be granted to a maximum of two production companies, provided they are acting jointly.

Les œuvres cinématographiques et audiovisuelles de courte durée doivent être produites par au moins une entreprise de production agissant en qualité d’entreprise de production déléguée.
Pour l’attribution des aides à la production d’une même œuvre, cette qualité ne peut être reconnue qu’à deux entreprises de production au plus à la condition qu’elles agissent conjointement.
