Article 697-3 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The territorial jurisdiction of the courts mentioned in Article 697 shall be determined in accordance with Articles 43,52,382 and 663. The courts of the place of posting or landing also have jurisdiction. In addition, the court with territorial jurisdiction over the personnel of convoyed vessels is the court to which the personnel of the convoying vessel would be brought.

La compétence territoriale des juridictions mentionnées à l’article 697 est déterminée conformément aux articles 43,52,382 et 663. Sont également compétentes les juridictions du lieu de l’affectation ou du débarquement. En outre, la juridiction territorialement compétente à l’égard des personnels des navires convoyés est celle à laquelle seraient déférés les personnels du navire convoyeur.
