Article 706-31 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

As an exception to the provisions of Article 750, the maximum duration of judicial restraint is set at one year when the fine and pecuniary penalties imposed for one of the offences mentioned in article 706-26 or for related customs offences exceed €100,000.

Par dérogation aux dispositions de l’article 750, le maximum de la durée de la contrainte judiciaire est fixée à un an lorsque l’amende et les condamnations pécuniaires prononcées pour l’une des infractions mentionnées à l’article 706-26 ou pour les infractions douanières connexes excèdent 100 000 euros.
