Article 721-1-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Persons sentenced to a custodial sentence for one or more of the offences mentioned in articles 421-1 to 421-6 of the Penal Code, excluding those defined in articles 421-2-5 to 421-2-5-2 of the same code, may not benefit from the reductions in sentence mentioned in Article 721 of this code only up to a maximum of three months per year of imprisonment and seven days per month for a period of imprisonment of less than one year.

Article 721-1-1

Les personnes condamnées à une peine privative de liberté pour une ou plusieurs des infractions mentionnées aux articles 421-1 à 421-6 du code pénal, à l’exclusion de celles définies aux articles 421-2-5 à 421-2-5-2 du même code, ne peuvent bénéficier des réductions de peine mentionnées à l’article 721 du présent code qu’à hauteur de trois mois par année d’incarcération et de sept jours par mois pour une durée d’incarcération inférieure à un an.
