Article 723-32 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The decision provided for in Article 723-29 shall be taken, before the date set for the sentenced person’s release, by a judgment given in accordance with the provisions of Article 712-6. During the adversarial hearing provided for in article 712-6, the convicted person must be assisted by a lawyer chosen by him or, at his request, appointed by the President of the Bar.

The judgment specifies the obligations to which the sentenced person is subject, as well as the duration of these obligations.

Article 723-32

La décision prévue à l’article 723-29 est prise, avant la date prévue pour la libération du condamné, par un jugement rendu conformément aux dispositions de l’article 712-6. Lors du débat contradictoire prévu par l’article 712-6, le condamné est obligatoirement assisté par un avocat choisi par lui, ou, à sa demande, désigné par le bâtonnier.

Le jugement précise les obligations auxquelles le condamné est tenu, ainsi que la durée de celles-ci.
