Article 726 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The placement, on an exceptional basis, of juvenile detainees over the age of sixteen in a disciplinary cell may not exceed seven days.

In an emergency, juvenile detainees over the age of sixteen may, as a preventive measure, be placed in a disciplinary cell or confined to an individual cell. This measure may not exceed two working days.

Le placement, à titre exceptionnel, des détenus mineurs de plus de seize ans en cellule disciplinaire ne peut excéder sept jours.

En cas d’urgence, les détenus mineurs de plus de seize ans peuvent faire l’objet, à titre préventif, d’un placement en cellule disciplinaire ou d’un confinement en cellule individuelle. Cette mesure ne peut excéder deux jours ouvrables.
