Article 750 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The maximum duration of the judicial constraint is set as follows:

<1° To twenty days when the fine is at least equal to 2,000 euros without exceeding 4,000 euros;

2° To one month when the fine is greater than 4,000 euros without exceeding 8,000 euros;

3° To two months when the fine is greater than 8,000 euros without exceeding 15,000 euros;

4° To three months when the fine is greater than 15,000 euros.

Le maximum de la durée de la contrainte judiciaire est fixé ainsi qu’il suit :

1° A vingt jours lorsque l’amende est au moins égale à 2 000 euros sans excéder 4 000 euros ;

2° A un mois lorsque l’amende est supérieure à 4 000 euros sans excéder 8 000 euros ;

3° A deux mois lorsque l’amende est supérieure à 8 000 euros sans excéder 15 000 euros ;

4° A trois mois lorsque l’amende est supérieure à 15 000 euros.
