Article 874 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

For the application of article 768, the powers of the national criminal record are exercised by the registry of each court of first instance, which receives, in respect of persons born in the district of the court and after verification of their identity in the civil status registers, records of the convictions, judgments and decisions listed in 1° to 8° of the said article.

Pour l’application de l’article 768, les attributions du casier judiciaire national sont exercées par le greffe de chaque tribunal de première instance qui reçoit, en ce qui concerne les personnes nées dans la circonscription du tribunal et après vérification de leur identité aux registres de l’état civil, des fiches constatant les condamnations, jugements et décisions énumérés aux 1° à 8° dudit article.
