The contract may be cancelled by the insurer before its normal expiry date, following a claim, if the claim was caused by a driver who was under the influence of alcohol or narcotics, or if the claim was caused by an infringement of the Highway Code resulting in a judicial or administrative decision to suspend the driving licence for at least one month, or a decision to cancel the licence.
The policyholder may then cancel the other contracts taken out with the insurer within one month of being notified of this cancellation.
In the event of cancellation on expiry or termination of tacit renewal by the insurer, the notice period is set at two months for the insurer.
