Article A243-1 of the French Insurance Code

All insurance contracts taken out for the application of Title IV of Book II of this Code must include the clauses set out :

Annexes I and III to this article, as regards liability insurance ;

Annex II to this article, in respect of damage insurance.

No other clause in the contract may have the effect of altering in any way the content or scope of these clauses, unless it applies exclusively to cover which is broader than that provided for in Title IV of Book II of this Code.

Tout contrat d’assurance souscrit pour l’application du titre IV du livre II du présent code doit obligatoirement comporter les clauses figurant :

Aux annexes I et III au présent article, en ce qui concerne l’assurance de responsabilité ;

A l’annexe II au présent article, en ce qui concerne l’assurance de dommages.

Toute autre clause du contrat ne peut avoir pour effet d’altérer d’une quelconque manière le contenu ou la portée de ces clauses, sauf si elle s’applique exclusivement à des garanties plus larges que celles prévues par le titre IV du livre II du présent code.
