Article A243-5 of the French Insurance Code

Where appropriate, the certificate may include details of other cover or extensions provided for in the insurance contract. However, in respect of the compulsory cover provided by articles L. 241-1 and L. 241-2, the certificate must not contain any statement which would in any way exclude or limit the scope of the minimum statements mentioned above. No reference may be made to contractual provisions if these are not reproduced in the certificate.

L’attestation peut, le cas échéant, comporter des mentions relatives à d’autres garanties ou extensions prévues dans le contrat d’assurance. Néanmoins, au titre de la garantie obligatoire prévue par les articles L. 241-1 et L. 241-2, l’attestation ne doit comporter aucune mention de nature à écarter ou limiter d’une quelconque façon la portée des mentions minimales susmentionnées. Aucune mention ne peut faire référence à des dispositions contractuelles si ces dernières ne sont pas reproduites dans l’attestation.
