Article D120-2 of the French Consumer Code

Assisted service, within the meaning of Article L. 120-1, is a sales method during which the product is packaged and immediately handed over to the consumer by a trader at the point of sale.

In cases where the product is likely to present a risk to the consumer, the assisted service must guarantee sufficient consumer protection against the risks specific to the product.

Le service assisté, au sens de l’article L. 120-1, est un mode de vente lors duquel le conditionnement du produit et la remise immédiate au consommateur sont effectués par un opérateur sur le point de vente.

Dans le cas où le produit est susceptible de présenter un risque pour le consommateur, le service assisté doit garantir une protection suffisante des consommateurs contre les risques propres au produit.
