Article D1241-4 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The Conseil national des opérations funéraires meets in plenary session when convened by its chairman, at least once a year, under the conditions defined in Article D. 1241-5.

In urgent cases and on the proposal of its chairman, the members of the Conseil national des opérations funéraires may be consulted in writing, in accordance with the procedures defined by the rules of procedure. These arrangements shall include at least a minimum period for consultation and the possibility for one third of the members of the Council to object to this method of consultation.

Article D1241-4

Le Conseil national des opérations funéraires se réunit en séance plénière sur convocation de son président, au moins une fois par an, dans les conditions définies à l’article D. 1241-5.

En cas d’urgence et sur proposition de son président, les membres du Conseil national des opérations funéraires peuvent être consultés par écrit, selon les modalités définies par le règlement intérieur. Ces modalités comportent au moins un délai minimal de consultation et la possibilité pour un tiers des membres du Conseil de s’opposer à cette modalité de consultation.
