Article D1243-1 of the French Labour Code

When the employee terminates his fixed-term employment contract before the end of the term, in application of article L. 1243-2, the termination indemnity provided for in article L. 1243-8 is calculated on the basis of the remuneration already received and that which he would have received until the end of the contract.

Lorsque le salarié rompt son contrat de travail à durée déterminée avant l’échéance du terme, en application de l’article L. 1243-2, l’indemnité de fin de contrat prévue par l’article L. 1243-8 est calculée sur la base de la rémunération déjà perçue et de celle qu’il aurait perçue jusqu’au terme du contrat.
