Article D2564-25 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The mayor draws up a certificate stating that the expenditure has been paid. This certificate is stamped by the commune’s accountant, then sent to the prefect, who pays the commune an amount of grant corresponding to half of the eligible expenditure pursuant to article R. 2564-3.

Le maire établit un certificat constatant le paiement de la dépense. Ce certificat est visé par le comptable de la commune, puis adressé au préfet, qui verse à la commune un montant de dotation correspondant à la moitié des dépenses éligibles en application de l’article R. 2564-3.
