Article D3142-3 of the French Labour Code

Without prejudice to the provisions of the third paragraph of article L. 3142-7, the employee shall inform the employer at the time of requesting the leave by any means giving a date certain of the foreseeable date of his return. If this date changes, the employee shall inform the employer at least three days before his return.

Sans préjudice des dispositions du troisième alinéa de l’article L. 3142-7, le salarié informe l’employeur au moment de la demande du congé par tout moyen conférant date certaine de la date prévisible de son retour. En cas de modification de celle-ci, le salarié en informe l’employeur au moins trois jours avant son retour.
