An inter-ministerial mission to combat drugs and addictive behaviour, under the authority of the Prime Minister, leads and coordinates the State’s efforts to combat the harmful use of psychoactive substances and addictive behaviour, both in terms of supply reduction and demand reduction.
As such, it is particularly active in the fields of observation, information and prevention, care and reduction of health risks and social damage, the fight against trafficking, research and training.
In conjunction with the General Secretariat for European Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it helps to formulate the French position on the fight against drugs and addictive behaviours in European and international bodies.
The task force prepares the deliberations of the interministerial committee and ensures they are implemented.
