Screening for the sexually transmitted infections listed in table I of appendix 41-3 may be prescribed by midwives for their patients and partners, in accordance with current recommendations.

If the screening result is positive, the person tested is referred immediately by the midwife to a doctor or specialist service.

Les dépistages des infections sexuellement transmissibles figurant dans le tableau I de l’annexe 41-3 peuvent être prescrits, suivant les recommandations en vigueur, par les sages-femmes à leurs patientes et à leurs partenaires.

Lorsque le résultat du dépistage est positif, la personne testée est orientée sans délai par la sage-femme vers un médecin ou un service spécialisé.
