Article D47-6-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The Delegate Judge for Victims shall ensure, with due respect for the balance of the rights of the parties, that the rights granted by law to victims are taken into account.

To this end, he or she shall exercise the jurisdictional functions and, without prejudice to the role of the victim’s current or future lawyer, the functions of judicial administration and the administrative functions provided for by this Title.

Le juge délégué aux victimes veille, dans le respect de l’équilibre des droits des parties, à la prise en compte des droits reconnus par la loi aux victimes.

A cette fin, il exerce les fonctions juridictionnelles et, sans préjudice du rôle de l’avocat constitué ou à venir de la victime, les fonctions d’administration judiciaire et les fonctions administratives prévues par le présent titre.
