Article D49-31 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

When the sentence enforcement judge is required to travel to a prison in order to carry out the duties devolved upon him or her by this Code or by the provisions of the Criminal Code, travel and subsistence allowances shall be allocated to him or her under the conditions referred to in articles R. 90 (10°) and R. 200 of this code. The same applies to the court clerk who assists him, as well as to the magistrate from the public prosecutor’s office present during the adversarial hearing.

Lorsque le juge de l’application des peines est appelé à se rendre dans un établissement pénitentiaire pour assumer les fonctions qui lui sont dévolues par le présent code ou par les dispositions du code pénal, les indemnités de frais de voyage et de séjour lui sont allouées dans les conditions visées aux articles R. 90 (10°) et R. 200 du présent code. Il en est de même pour le greffier qui l’assiste, ainsi que pour le magistrat du ministère public présent lors du débat contradictoire.
