Article D49-39-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

In the event of an appeal by the public prosecutor or the sentenced person, the other party has an additional period of twenty-four hours or five days in which to lodge a cross-appeal, depending on whether the appeal relates to an order or judgment of the sentence enforcement judge or the sentence enforcement court.
