Article D49-64 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

In the exercise of their powers, the public prosecutor and the courts responsible for enforcing sentences, as well as, if a case is referred to them, the prison integration and probation service, shall take into account, throughout the execution of the sentence, the protection of the interests and rights of the victim or the civil party, in accordance with the provisions of this code and in particular Articles 707, 712-16, 712-16-1 et 712-16-2, 721-2 et 745.

The provisions of this section apply without prejudice to those of articles D. 47-6-4 to D. 47-6-11 relating to the judge delegated to victims.

Dans l’exercice de leurs attributions, le ministère public et les juridictions de l’application des peines, ainsi que, s’il est saisi, le service pénitentiaire d’insertion et de probation, prennent en compte, tout au long de l’exécution de la peine, la protection des intérêts et des droits de la victime ou de la partie civile, conformément aux dispositions du présent code et notamment des articles 707, 712-16, 712-16-1 et 712-16-2, 721-2 et 745.

Les dispositions de la présente section s’appliquent sans préjudice de celles des articles D. 47-6-4 à D. 47-6-11 relatifs au juge délégué aux victimes.
