Article D49-66 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

When the sentence enforcement court informs the victim pursuant to the provisions of the third paragraph of Article 712-16-1, it shall inform the victim of his or her option to be assisted by a victim support association.

Where, pursuant to the provisions of the last paragraph of Article 712-16-2 or Article 745 the victim or civil party must be informed of the sentenced person’s release occurring on the date on which the sentence expires or the date on which the probationary suspension ends, the sentence enforcement judge may ask the prison integration and probation service to which the measure is referred to carry out this information.

In the cases provided for by article D. 1-11-2, the provisions of this article shall be applied.

Lorsque la juridiction de l’application des peines informe la victime en application des dispositions du troisième alinéa de l’article 712-16-1, elle l’avise de sa possibilité d’être assistée par une association d’aide aux victimes.

Lorsqu’en application des dispositions du dernier alinéa de l’article 712-16-2 ou de l’article 745 la victime ou la partie civile doit être informée de la libération du condamné intervenant à la date d’échéance de la peine ou de la date de fin du sursis probatoire, le juge de l’application des peines peut demander au service pénitentiaire d’insertion et de probation saisi de la mesure de procéder à cette information.

Dans les cas prévus par l’article D. 1-11-2, il est fait application des dispositions de cet article.
