The continuous surveillance unit may operate in a health care establishment that has neither a resuscitation unit nor an intensive care unit if it has signed an agreement specifying the conditions for patient transfer with establishments that have a resuscitation or intensive care unit.

L’unité de surveillance continue peut fonctionner dans un établissement de santé ne disposant ni d’unité de réanimation, ni d’unité de soins intensifs s’il a conclu une convention précisant les conditions de transfert des patients avec des établissements disposant d’une unité de réanimation ou de soins intensifs.
