I.-The holder of the authorisation for bariatric surgery must enlist the support of the multidisciplinary consultation mentioned in article R. 6123-211:
1° At least one of the doctors specialising in visceral and digestive surgery mentioned in article D. 6124-289;
2° A doctor with training in endocrinology-diabetology-nutrition or hepato-gastro-enterology;
3° A doctor specialising in psychiatry or a psychologist;
4° A dietician;
5° If necessary, a physiotherapist or a professional with training in adapted physical activity;
6° If necessary, a general practitioner.
II.At least one of the professionals mentioned in 1° to 4° of I must provide evidence of training in therapeutic patient education, as mentioned in article L. 1161-1.
III.-When the treatment concerns a child, a doctor specialising or competent in paediatrics takes part in the multidisciplinary consultation.
IV -A record of the opinion and therapeutic proposal resulting from the multidisciplinary consultation is inserted into the patient’s medical file. This therapeutic proposal is presented to the patient.
