Article L112-1 of the French Consumer Code

Any seller of a product or any provider of a service shall inform the consumer, by means of marking, labelling, display or any other appropriate process, of the prices and specific terms and conditions of the sale and performance of services, in accordance with the procedures laid down by orders of the Minister responsible for the economy, after consulting the Conseil national de la consommation.

Tout vendeur de produit ou tout prestataire de services informe le consommateur, par voie de marquage, d’étiquetage, d’affichage ou par tout autre procédé approprié, sur les prix et les conditions particulières de la vente et de l’exécution des services, selon des modalités fixées par arrêtés du ministre chargé de l’économie, après consultation du Conseil national de la consommation.
