Article L113-2 of the French Consumer Code

If the transmission to the consumer of information, pursuant to article L. 113-1, is such as to seriously compromise the strategic or industrial interests of the manufacturer, producer or distributor concerned by the request, the latter may decide not to pass it on, provided that it gives reasons for doing so.

Si la transmission au consommateur d’une information, en application de l’article L. 113-1, est de nature à compromettre gravement les intérêts stratégiques ou industriels du fabricant, du producteur ou du distributeur concerné par la demande, celui-ci peut décider de ne pas la transmettre à condition d’en motiver les raisons.
